Who can file a complaint?

Any individual or community who believes that an EDCF project has or is likely to,
adversely affect them environmentally and/or socially can submit a complaint.

EDCF considers a complaint admissible when

The complaint relates to an EDCF project that is under preparation or active;
and the complaint is submitted by individuals or communities affected by an EDCF
project, or by their authorized representative.

What does not constitute a complaint?

If it is about procurement procedures or suspected criminal offences such as fraud and corruption,
please contact the EDCF coordination group or operation group (For contact information, click here)
and/or If its objective is to gain an economic advantage or it is excessive, repetitive
(i.e covering the same aspects of a project), and clearly frivolous or malicious in nature.

What information is required?

The project subject of the complaint;
The project’s adverse impact(s);
The individual(s) submitting the complaint
(If submitted by a representative, the name, signature, contact details, and written
proof of authority of the representative);
Information what has been done prior to this complaint to address the project’s
adverse impact at project level.
