* Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF): An ODA program established by the Korean government in June 1, 1987 in order to assist the economic development of developing countries and enable Korea to serve the international community in a way that is commensurate to its heightened global status. The Ministry of Strategy and Finance is the managing authority of the Fund while Korea Eximbank is responsible for its day-to-day operations.
The EDCF overseas interns will gain hands-on working experience at Korea Eximbank's headquarters and its eight overseas offices* for approximately nine months.
* Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, Tanzania, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Colombia
In commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the EDCF Overseas Internship program, Korea Eximbank has published a memoir written by EDCF overseas interns.
Titled "Global Do Dream," the memoir details the hands-on working experiences of former interns and provides practical information on their mission countries.
The bank expects the book to serve as a useful guide to young people who dream of working abroad, especially at international organizations.
